DANCE CLASS INFORMATION

Class Level and Descriptions

Basic/Introductory.
All dancers start here. Dancers are taught basic tap steps and learn tap terminology. This class is where dancers are evaluated for progression onto other classes.

Tap Express: Intermediate to intermediate/advanced.
A continuation of technique and more advanced combinations. Performance opportunities are available in this group.

Sound Effects: Advanced level.
A class designed for young adults and the older advanced tapper. Entry is via evaluation by the instructor. Performance opportunities are available in this class.

Sole Rhythms: Intermediate to intermediate/advanced.
Enjoy Broadway Style and Rhythm Style dances as well as technique instruction. Performance opportunities are available in this class.

Manhattan Dance Company (MDC): Intermediate to intermediate advanced.
A performing group of experienced tap dancers who have advanced through other OBDC classes. As proficient dancers, this group performs throughout the community as well as throughout the state and country.

Broadway Tappers: A class designed for the more mature dancer.
Fun combinations, dances and technique. This class is also open to dancers who are gone during the winter months.
