COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Off Broadway Dance Company firmly believes in giving back to the community.

Honor Flight

OBDC's biggest charitable efforts are directed to Honor Flight of NW Ohio, a non-profit organization formed to send veterans to see the memorials built and dedicated to their honor. To date, Honor Flight has flown 859 WWII veterans on 22 flights to see their memorial.

OBDC is very proud to have raised $16,000 for the organization this far. Many of our dancers can be seen in patriotic sparkly vests at every Honor Flight arrival. Thus far our dancers have attended 21 of Honor Flight's 22 flights. We have become an integral part of each welcome home celebration and a few of the dancers have accompanied the vets on the flights to DC.

The Traveling Taps

A Community Outreach Program

This community outreach group consists of recently retired women who have been tap dancing and performing with Off Broadway Dance Company. They now have time to give back to the community by performing in senior centers, assisted living facilities and nursing home facilities.

Not only is this group wonderfully entertaining, but they also include sing-along and other fun audience participation opportunities.
